Jac59 is right. But if will NOT be having a dual boot system then I would recommend to go with NTFS. Also remember any shares on this system are not seen by Win 9x/Me machines on a network. But NTFS is more efficient as compared to FAT16!

Well some softwares you can "Run as a Service" in Win2k - I dunno if that can be done in NT or not. And again those are the ones which do not require an "Active" user interaction and can handle themselves!! Otherwise you are pretty much stuck!
