HD 4850 vs 9800 GTX+...

Stock cooler means shit if the cards working properly. The feature of the sound over HDMI alone owns all the little PhysX thingies, as not many game makers care about it. You are making it sounds like nvidia drivers are better since it is updated less frequently, the fact is, it takes them...

Nvidia causes twice as many crashes as ATI/AMD?

It is the rate of the cards crash, not the absoulte number, know the difference? get a clue. And that is Q2 number, before 4800s came out, indeed, that is quite sad for nvidia, they had supposesly faster products in the last 18 months, but only 13% lead? that is pathetic, no wonder AMD is...

Are there any other die hard CRT fans here?

Unless there is a 21'' 2048x1536 LCD that you can compare, it is very cheap of you to use something does not exist(2048x1536 LCD) to "prove" your point, can you go cheaper? By following your logic, how about comparing an 8'' LCD screen with 1280x1024 to a 15'' CRT with the same resolution...

Now that the GTX 260 is the same price as the 4870...

your explanation does not explain, the game Lost Planet was first appeared on the xbox 360, you know how it ended up. You are confused. AMD has 2 billions more in revenue than NVDA and has more cash. The balance sheet looks bad was because of the huge NON-Recurring expense from acquiring ATI.
