what i hear is that the Celeron D's are a very different breed compared to the snailish ol' Celeron's. given some of the benchmarks between Athlon(32) & Celeron D's at Xbit, i'd not bet on that. -bd

decent yet cheap 3D-acc card for MS-FlightSim2002/4

Is a triple boot neccesary?

i'd not quite agree that "VMWare rocks"!! on a functionality level, yeah, it does rock... but as far as performance is concerned, it hardly rocks!! having said that, you don't need VMware for what you wanna do. search on google for LINUX multiboot HOWTO, they'd explain you how to have Win98...

fedora vs mandrake

although i've not used mandrake 10, but i've used Mandrake 9.2. also i've used FC3test1. Between the two, I'd say the stability & maturity/robustness of Mandrake 9.2 has raised it's head couple of times. With FC3test1 i've had some initial teething troubles, but with most of them ironed out...

What's the diff btwn Athlon64 & Opteron

okay, but how are the guts different ? what makes Opteron better for Servers and Athlon64 better for the Desktops. what all is affected if you swap the application area, i.e. Opteron in your desktop ??
