I think I'll like it a lot after they get the kinks worked out - it is simple and very fast for me. I have noticed that even on pages that do keep their same look - the rendering just doesn't seem as 'sharp' as in Firefox. I went ahead and reported the differences. And yeah, it doesn't play...

What I meant was, Ebay functions, but the font rendering is funky - some of the fonts are normal size, while some are very, very small. (auction titles in search pages, for example) One other message board I frequent is the same way - most are at least, 'ok' though. Anandtech looks good...

Checking it out now - performance seems pretty snappy to me, and the Firefox import worked flawlessly How it renders pages varies wildly, however. Some of my other forums render normally (same as in Firefox), some are slightly different - and a couple are just plain awful Unfortunately...

NEC 3550A sux

This may not apply in your case, but they do wear out. I've also got a 3550A that I've had for about a year; have probably burned 250-300 DVD's. Unfortunately, it's not going to burn anymore - it no longer recognizes blank DVD media or burned DVD's. It still recognizes commercially produced...

Oh, the other thing that makes me a tad suspicious about the Dell versions of these cards....both options (the 6800 and the X800SE) are exactly the same price. It would be wonderful if you could just add a standard video card; but my understanding is that NO current Dell systems have an AGP...

Grrr...processor upgrade frustration

Hmmmmm...... I have 2 256MB sticks of PC2100 in right now, but they're different brands. I might pull one at a time and see what happens. Both sticks worked fine with the old T-bird; are the Athlon XP's more 'sensitive' when it comes to memory quality?

Just thought of something else to add.....using PC2100 (266) DDR memory. I know some people have had difficulties with this board using PC133, but that's not the case here.
