Thanks, the double boot seems to be gone after 1253. Now I will finally try setting my memory back to 1600 MHz again and see if it remains stable this time.

Sandy Bridge Launch Price Gouging?

A little disappointing that we still need to wait until the 9th, but assuming that the 2500K costs $219 at Fry's, then that would translate to around $235 after tax, which isn't too bad. Even better if Microcenter sells them for even less, but I still hope that newegg or Amazon have them for...

Corsair HX520 enough for SB Build?

That will probably be enough for just a single 460, however you might want to upgrade to a 650W PSU or higher if you plan on doing SLI down the line.

Which P67 mobo are you getting/gotten

I did end up purchasing it for ~$180 shipped at SuperBiiz last night after finding out that the MSRP was around $190 from the recently posted reviews, thanks anyway for the info though. Now to see how long we will have to wait for the CPU's themselves.

Sandy Bridge Launch Price Gouging?

Just saw this link somewhere else: http://www.neobits.com/intel_bx80623...z_p548448.html Core i5 2500K for $246 (Not in stock) and Core i5 2300 for $207 (In stock!), both $30 above MSRP. Wonder if this means my fears will come true for the larger e-tailers?

P8P67 Pro, ~$180 shipped. Saw it on SuperBiiz and figured that since the P55 equivalent costs the same on newegg now, I had doubts that I would get a much better price when newegg stocks them.

Budget AM3 Board

I would go with the 800 series chipsets because they have improved storage performance, and it is always good to be current. They are a little more expensive, but you can still find a good 870 board for under $100.

Which P67 mobo are you getting/gotten

Any thoughts on the ASRock P67 Extreme4? I am particularly looking for a board that will have UEFI as well as Crossfire/SLI support, but I don't know if ponying up the extra $20-30 for the P8P67 Pro would be worth it here, as my budget is a bit limited.

DVI vs. VGA: Image quality difference?

I was in a similar boat to you about a month ago. I own a T400 and a U2211H, and for the first week or so, I too was stuck with VGA output. At first, it didn't seem so bad. Sure, text was a tad blurry and the screen flickered a little, but it still overall looked vastly superior to my T400's...

Will SB mean a significant drop in current processor prices?

Seeing as how I am going to build a new system around Sandy Bridge launch, I am more interested if P55 motherboard prices drop because while the CPU prices for Sandy Bridge look fine, the starting prices for the P67 and even H67 motherboards seemed a little steep.
