Car power inverter- enough to run a PC?

On the 8600, why are they running ddr333 when the fsb is 400 with the pentium M's? Wouldn't this hurt the performance? Is the fsb double pumped (like the p4 is quad pumped)? I am a little confused. Any help would be appreciated.

Do you really need 2 HD for encoding?

The file is 3.3gb and it is 1hr 10min long. The only thing it stressed was my hard drive. I know I would be better off with another hd, but if it only gives a slight increase I don't think it is worth it. Should I just use a lower quality MPEG-2?

PSU/MSI K8N Neo Platinum?

I have almost the same computer as you except a A64 3200+, a cd-r instead of dvd-r, a seagate 160gb, and a audigy 2zs card and a winfast TV2000xp expert. The antec 430W has not given me any trouble at all.

RAM advice for a64-3400+/MSI Neo PLatinum

I have the same corsair ram that you linked to above. Those timings are for intel cpus, amd cpus are 2.5-3-3-6. I tried them at CAS 2 instead of 2.5 but they needed more voltage and I don't care for overclocking or pushing the voltage higher. Kind of pissed me off when I got them and found...
