Question about OCZ Powerstream 420

Hi, I was wondering if the 420W Powerstream had a PCI-E connector. Only reviews I could find about it were out-dated, and at that time it seems that it didn't have one. Does the current version of the unit have the 6 pin Pci-e connector and two dedicated/sleeved molex connectors both? Is...

Please Help Quick Bios Checksum Error

I get the exact same error! I was trying to flash the bios (I'm using a DFI nf4 Ultra-D) with awdflash. I flashed it and restarted the system, and then I got this : Bios Rom Checksum Error Is there anyone who can help?

Confused about Dual Rail thing

Is it true that dual rail psus are not worth buying? I can't decide between OCZ Powerstream 420, Enermax 495AX Dual rail (12v1@18A, 12v2@16A according to newegg, 18A according to official website), Fortron Blue storm 500 Dual rail (12v1@15A, 12v2@15A) All of the reviews i could find about...

Which memory for DFI Ultra-D

Hi, Is there anyone who uses the rams mentioned above with the Ultra-D. Have you experienced any problems? Which one is better for this board and of course, do you have any other suggestions? Thanks

does a power supply use all of the watts all of the time

It can support up to 500W, it gives as much power as needed.

dfi vs asus

Well, Ultra-D is a better performer and a far better overclocker. But for the ones who are interested in Wi-Fi, Asus is always one of the best options. As for the SLI situation, DFI SLI-D has the same price tag as Asus a8n-sli, and perform just as same as the Ultra-D. Oh, and the DFI boards...

Are fancards any useful?

Hi, I have my eyes on the Logisys 3D edge Fan Kit lately, and I wonder if it's a good buy. I read on the forums that devices like this can actually hurt the temperatures, is that true? I couldn't find any reviews which the temps were shown. Is there anyone who uses this or something like...

What Fan for XP-120

Hmm, so I guess I wil have to buy some other fan.. How about this Silverstone, or should I use a 25mm thick fan? Also I was wondering, how are the Vantec stealths? They are said to be capable of pushing ~50 CFM while working at ~30 db, are these ratings true and is the quality of the fan good...

XP-120, MSI K8N Neo Platinum, and Gigabyte 6800

since you say "socket 939", i assume the board is k8n neo2 platinum, not "neo platinum", which is a s 754 board!!. XP-120 is not compatible with MSI k8n neo2 platinum(caps obstruct the heatpipes, even if you tilt them). XP-90, though, is fully compatible.

What Fan for XP-120

I'm looking for a 120mm fan with high airflow (above 70 CFM) with <35db sound. Panaflo 120x38 Medium Speed seems fine, but i read somewhere in these forums it had a vibration issue when used with xp-120. Can anyone confirm this? And suggest other fans? Thanks

OCZ powerstream 520

Hello, I was wondering if the Powestream worth $140. For $80, you can buy a 480W Tagan w/ active PFC and for $120 you can buy Enermax Noisetaker 485W w/ active PFC. Why are Enermax and Ocz so expensive, or why is Tagan so cheap? It sure is a quality unit, isn't it? And ~40 W isn't a great...
