Don't have administrators password, is there anyway to get back into the system?

We have windows 2000, and my friend doesn't have the computer passwords after screwing around with the logon users. Nothing seems to work. Is there a way to get inside the system by default, or is he just screwed. Is there a way to reinstall the operating system without providing a password...

Networking windows 98 and XP

I can read shared files from the XP machine to the 98 machine, but the 98 machine can't access the XP machine. How do I solve this?

Anybody ever heard of a port with 17 pins? My grandpa has an external 5 1/4 inch drive with a 17 pin cable. Thanks for the help.

Anyone taken the new A+ hardware test???

Being A+ certified is probably worth more than $130 dollars, even if it takes a couple tries to pass, I don't think it's a big deal. Not that I think you'll fail, a well informed anandtecher should do just fine.
