1.3 Centrino vs. 1.6 Centrino

There isn't much of a difference. There is probrably more noticeable difference in the 1.7 to 1.3, but 300 MHz is close these days.

DVD+RW drives - Can you copy DVDs with them?

I dont really understand what you mean by this. The + & - always signified to me the type of burners. The + burners are aimed to be compatible with existed dvd-roms and players. So I would assume that would fit into the neither category, however I am not sure. More then likely, you won't be...

DVD-/+ help

Not all compatibility charts are completely accurate. You more then likely aren't doing anything wrong. However, it is probrably recommened you should use the + instead, since that is geared for usage more on DVD players. It could also be the media, what type of disks are you using?
