Will the Corsair HG10 N980 work the 980ti? I have an extra CLC so I think this would be a good alternative to the EVGA Hybrid since it's never in stock. What would be the best card to get with the plan to use the air cooler until the HG10 N980 comes out, is EVGA the best choice because of their...
Third time I've received the auto notify from EVGA for the hybrid and it's never in stock (even 5 mins after the email). Does it just sell out insanely quick or is there something I'm missing? I want to buy the card but it's never in stock :(
Same here, I'm buying it as soon as it's in stock but it hasn't been for weeks. Even got a email notification from EVGA that it was in stock, checked and it wasn't :( A good site to track is http://www.nowinstock.net/computers/videocards/nvidia/gtx980ti/.
Now that cards have been out a few weeks, any consensus on the best card to get for moderate overclocking? Originally I was really interested in the EVGA hybrid but it looks like the ACX cooler is really solid and $80 less (not to mention in stock :P). Are there any others that are worth...
What's the chance of a 980ti price drop if Fury X comes in $50 to $100 cheaper with the same performance? And is there any reason to wait for custom pcb's versus just getting the 980ti hybrid if I want to OC a little but not go crazy?
Worth upgrading from R9 290 to 2x970 SLI or waiting for 980Ti? I've had to tone setting way down (1080p, med/high) to get decent frame rates online and the AMD experience leaves a lot to be desired. I want to be able to play 3440x1440 @ 60 fps average, med/high+ settings when possible.

+1 for the LG 34U95M. I've had it since it came out and it's amazing. Productivity wise you get two 5:4 windows next to each other with more pixels than your 1080p monitor and no bezels. 21:9 1080p movies look amazing using the entire screen with no black bars. The little bit of gaming I've done...
Just to throw in my two cents, I listened to comments like yours when I bought a reference 290 off ebay and it absolutely is terrible. I replaced it with a G10+H55 and basically broke even with the cost of an aftermarket 290. If I was to do it again I would have gone with one of the many tri-x's...
This is what I've been using with Skyrim without any issues. Still loving this monitor, even more so since I upgraded my GPU from a 670 to R9 290 with 4GB RAM.
I took advantage of the great deals on ebay and upgraded from a 670 to a 290 at almost no cost (sold my 670 for $225). The performance boost is great but I'm also seeing a big benefit from the 4GB ram since I'm running 2.4x the resolution of 1080p. Overall it was well worth it.

Thanks to those that were pointing out temps were too high. I pulled everything apart, reaplied thermal paste, put it back together and bam, max temp at 1125/1450 MHz was 52C. If I had to guess the culprit was not tightening the G10 bracket enough. THe directions say hand tighten but it's hard...
Those are temps using the stock voltage and 1125/1450 MHz GPU/memory overclock, I did not grab a screenshot of stock settings.
I'm using the Corsair H55 which only has a single radiator and fan and this is the first time I've used a closed loop cooler so I wasn't sure what to expect. The 290...
I've been looking at cooling solutions over the last week for a reference 290 I picked up off ebay for $214 shipped. The H55+G10 looked like a perfect fit however the one big issue is high VRM temps since there are no heat sinks. One fix is to get one of the aftermarket kits and attach it. The...
Haha, I like that philosophy.
Considering I just upgraded my monitor to 3440x1440 and now have to drive 2.4x the pixels this deal is perfect timing and too good to pass up (4GB is perfect for this res). I picked up 2 of them for $422 shipped so we'll see how it goes. I might underclock them as...
