Best method to capture video for DVD conversion

go to www.dvdrhelp.com for more info...it's better to capture to hdd, then convert the movies using software like virtualdub that has a bunch of filter's that can make the video look better.

overclock question on 9500 w/infenion

i have a 9500 softmod to a 9700 with infinion ram. and can take my core up pretty high but my question is on the ram. i know infinion sucks at overclocking but when i push it to 310mhz, the only thing that shows artifact is the nature test in 3dmark01. everything else:3dmark03, vice city, jedi...

free SVCD encoder?

the program i use is tmpegenc, it converts video files into mpeg/mpeg2. for more info on conversions, are for other softwares, go here www.dvdrhelp.com

Thank you Asus for the new ATI Radeon XT's.

yeah, it's quite obvious the 9800xt will be out soon since benchmarks are all over the place, but wasn't the 9600xt suppose to be released at around the same time? cause there has been no benchmark on the 9600 yet.

GTA3 Video card?

basically, anything equal or above an 8500 on the ati side, and anything above equal or above a gf4mx440 on nvidia side can play that game.

try virtualdub, not sure if it does .mov files, but it sure converts everything else.

Which cards actually need 8x AGP?

don't worry about it, the difference that 4x and 8x makes is usually less than 5%.

quick question on 9500np

i know the softmoddable ones are practically out of existence, so i was wonderin if a non softmodable one is worth the money(like $130). is it able to overclock well, like into pro levels?

temperature question

can anyone help me? i have a 5600 256mb version, so i overclocked the ram from 500 to 550. anyone know what will get a bigger performance boost.. overclockin core or ram? and what get's the card hotter?

Which is faster? 9100 or fx5200?

well, i had an 8500 and an mx440, and i guess the 5200 compares to 440 so the 8500 would own it. infact, i see very little difference when i upgraded to a 5600(needed vivo) so the 9100 is a better choice.
