Why do I feel double screwed by the recall.

At this point I think i am better of just getting another 1 TB hard drive to move the data and then waiting it out.

Why do I feel double screwed by the recall.

Raid makes one big hard drive that is significantly faster. LOL yeah i am trying to avoid that key word : "Buy" and at that point there is not an advantage in even replacing the board at all. Dumb question : performace on PCI raid vs mobo raid? Is there a performance issue?

I Dont mean "Backup" I actually mean "migrate". The old PC i was replacing is going to be sold. So I was planning on migrating all my data over to the New PC. Sure I dont "Need" raid nor am I being forced to do it but why not get the full performace out of the system?

So I just built up my system with an I2600k, 8gb ram, 2 TB HD;s in Raid, OCZ SSD, Blue ray and DVD burner and I cannot really use the raid to backup any data! I have been out of the loop for a while but As I understand it, the RAID array is created on the MOBO chipset. If i create the Array...

motherboard wont post anymore and just does restart loop

Were you overclocking? I have been having issues with my Gigabyte board not accepting settings that actually WORK and are stable and this is what happenes. Try clearing the Cmos, that should do it.

I have this issue that why i think i am stuck at a "low" O.C. - 4.1 stable. At 4.5 what is a safe voltage? I hear many things but what are you running at? I have a Noctua D14 and the temps have been excellent 22c idle / 46-49c prime 95.

If you bought 2600k over 2500k were your reasons?

Basically this, not only was it not a huge difference but some of us got a discount at micro center. If you had the money why not splurge?

I will take your word on it and try to reseat the heatsink. As this is my first time working with this socket.....what more is it than inserting the chip........gently placing the heatsink pins in holes and then pushing them down diagonally hearing them click into place?
