First off, I better address the lame remarks of bfg10k,
<< I have no time for sad little individuals who lack the self-esteem to even come up with their own names and instead have to use someone elses. >>
Wow, you really must have really taken my adoption of the classic doom weapon...
Hi Moosey, I would highly advise against an Aopen drive. I have had my Aopen 1232a cdrw for about 6 months so far. After burning a number of audio CDs, the drive refused to burn at 12x... using Nero or any similiar program, the drive would at first spin up, and then an error message would...
I personally don't give a rat's a$$ what bfg10k has to say about my screen name and the fact of the matter is that this post is about the geforce 4mx. If you care to know what bfg10k thinks about bfg20k, then start a thread in the offtopics forum.
Anyway, I think its lame on nvidias part to...
Got this from a mac enthusiast site:Link
At 1600x1200, the geforce 3 is almost 50% faster than the geforce4mx. Wow, that directx7 geforce4mx is a real POS. ;) I suppose its not suprising when you take a geforce 2 card and all you do is slap on some faster ram and up the core speed.
Sham on...
Yawn.... boring....

Holycow, when I tried to run a backup copy of Ground Control, which uses securecom, the backup wouldn't work. After installing Daemon Tools, and running the secrecom emulator, it worked fine.
I'd pass on the Lite On 32x12x40 CDRW, and go for the 24x burner from Lite-On. From what I've heard, the new model will only save you five seconds in burning a full CD. This way you will save yourself a $60.
Lite On makes great DVD rom, so u can't go wrong with that.
Also, instead of teh...
Hey Bullion, I had a similiar problem making a backup copy of ground control.
Here is a link that will help you out: Daemon tools
These guys basically provide you with an emulator that allows you to run backup copies of protected CDs.
Good Luck
I have been interested in setuping up a mid-fi system for a while. This spring I will possibly be getting a Cambridge Integrated Amp, cheap Sony CD player and Mission speakers.
