Lazer LED canons 99 cents at SVC

I used two of these (blue) to pimp my kid's Power Wheels :) I added a simple toggle switch where a fake switch had been on the console. Very low power drain of course. Stylin' down the sidewalk at dusk... :cool:

RAID 5 & Consistency Checks

Have a small network but am not on site often, one server has 3 160GB disk in RAID 5 on a Dell CERC SATA card. Recently saw lots of disk errors and had to replace two disks. Dell mentioned it's a good idea to perform regular consistency checks, as in monthly or so. Seeking the opinion...

I'm sure "SG" means signal ground, as opposed to chassis ground. In this case, would be the same as floating ground.

Is there a MicroATX board with VGA and firewire?

I guess you mean onboard video + firwire? I built a system on the Athlon XP 2800+ using the Shuttle MN31N, which does have firewire onboard and built-in nVidia video. Some info you see may say firewire is "optional" but my board had a firewire header. Hope that helps.

Your title choice doesn't match :Q Prices always go down of course, hard to argue with that one. Sounds like you're in no position to argue anyway :P But as a student, you can get Windows XP and Office for like $30 tops which should help reduce costs. And your loans/aid will usually apply...

Thx af! There's pleny of power for the 9800 XT, I and many others are running 6800GTs without problems. If you stuff all 3 PCI slots you might run into some trouble I suppose.

Any issues transporting your Aria with the big Zalman heatsinks (either 7000 or 6500 series) installed? Zalman warns about the weight and moving the PC. I plan to travel with mine for gaming and such. Currently running Athlon XP+ proc in it. Comments appreciated.
