Thanks for the reply. I did reformat the drive and reload Windows, and got through that OK, so I thought I just had a file problem. Because of the trouble, after the reinstall I reset the BIOS to defaults to make sure it would run OK for a while before trying to overclock again. It ran OK...

A8N-SLI Deluxe Hard Drive problem

Antec True PSU work on 24pin MB?

I am using the TrueBlue 480 with an A8N-SLI without any problems. I am not running 2 video cards, though, nor a lot of devices (1 HD, 1 CD, 1 DVD). I am not using any adapter, just plug the 20-pin into the first section of the jack and leave the remaining 4 pins unused.

A8N-SLI Deluxe 1008 BIOS final available

A8N-SLI + cnps7700cu + fanmate?

I dumped the fanmate and plugged right into the board, and use Speedfan to vary the speed depending on temperature. Works great!

Asus A8N Sli-Deluxe

I flashed to this one yesterday, my OC still works fine, no problems whatsoever. I did bump my Vcore up a couple notches up over 1.55 to see if it would help my S3 standby problem (not sure if that got fixed yet though), and it's running at 1.584 V now.

My First AMD System

I am not sure there would be any reason to go with the nForce Pro motherboard over an nForce4 MB, unless you need to crank on the CPU while multitasking. Or, if you had need of a lot of RAM. The Opteron/nForce Pro combo is costing you a lot of extra money for no other practical reasons than...

Tyan K8WE and suspend-to-ram (S3), any luck?

This won't be any help, but I have the exact same problem sometimes (not all the time) with my A8N-SLI Deluxe. I am overclocking it pretty hard, though, so I always attributed this problem to that. Would love to hear about some solution or know for sure that it's due to overclocking...

A8N-SLI Deluxe BIOS 1007-002

You guys are talking about a 1:1 divider at 1T for your RAM at frequencies over 240 MHz, right? 1T settings work fine for me as long as I use a divider.

I had the exact same experience with my system. Get rid of all of the nVidia software except the drivers.

Has anyone gotten Speedfan to work with an ASUS A8N-SLI?

Speedfan works fine for me for controlling the CHA1 and CPU fans. It won't control the chipset or CHA2 fans, but I replaced the chipset fan with a passive heatsink so that one's not a problem.
