Help with KT7A mouse hour glass wont stop????

I got the same thing when I first built my machine. I juggled my pci cards around, cuz I was having an IRQ problem. I then re-installed the operating system, and it went away. I tried just re-installing windows at first, but the flashing hour glass kept coming up even when I first booted up...

SB Live! Value and Pro2-A and IRQ Holder for PCI Steering..?

Slots 1, 3, and 5 are shared on the Pro2-a. Be sure no cards are in #1 and #5. Leave sb live! in slot 3. Have you tried disabling the VGA IRQ?

pc133 cas 2 memory

Definitely get CAS2 ram. It's worth it. Crucial is good. Mushkin is expensive, but the way to goif you're into overclocking.

I like Viewsonic for the price. Optiquest is also good, which is made by Viewsonic.

MSI Sound and AGP Problems

Same thing happened to me. When I inserted the sound card, my system wouldn't even POST. In the Pro2-a board, slots 1, 3 and 5 are shared. try using slot 3, and updating your BIOS. Yes, you can use a W98 boot disk. Sometimes disabling the VGA IRQ will work, but use that as a last resort...

Windows 2000 lockups on install with new KA7-100 mobo.

Try moving your sound card to different slots. As a 'general' rule, try to use slot #3 for your sound card. Sometimes this doesn't work, so you'll have to experiment. You're are supposed to be able to share IRQ's, but someone forgot to tell the sound card.

System resetting itself during 3dmark2000 1.1

I had the same problem. I removed the sound card and it worked. Put card into a different slot, and it also worked. Could have been an IRQ problem.

The Santa Cruz is a nice card. Try checking out Philips Acoustic Edga card too. Another nice one.

SB Live card won't get detected - PLZ HELP!

Remove the sound card from device manager then try installing card into pci slot #3. If it doesn'r work, try another slot.
