 At this time of year we tend to think back on our good fortune. And like so many people here I had the good fortune of being told about one hot deal after another by Jokersmoker. I have no idea what has happened to our friend since he retired. But here is to one of the best deals...
Hope the title says it all. I have a Radeon 9600xt and it is REALLY starting to show its age. Looking to hold off on getting new machine until Direct X 10 is out and the price comes down a little.
Almost forgot to say it is a newegg...

Sounds like good advice. I know some people who were never bothered by the horizontal damper wires (on some crt monitors) until they were shown where they were on the screen. Then it bugged the crap out of them! :)
I just got my new dell 2001fp. This is the first lcd that I have owned so I am not sure how to put it through it's paces to see if everything works ok.
I have read about stuck pixels put have not seen one before and am not sure what is the best way to test for them. Is there anything else...
Well the 2001fp has a little more screen real estate, both because of its resolution and its dimentions. My main use is programming & surfing, with gaming on the side. I do not do DVD's on my pc (that is what I have a tv for ;) ) so other than the cool factor, I could not come up with a reason...
I just pulled the trigger on the 2001fp. You have no idea how much debating back and forth I did between the 2005fpw and the 2001fp. I am glad this was a one day only coupon or I would be stuck for the next two weeks trying to decide!
I hope I will be happy, I already have a little buyers...
Thanks for the replies. In the end I decided to go with the 2001fp. The main thing I am supposed to be using the screen for is programming so the extra screen real estate is a good thing. Gaming is a bonus and the wide aspect would have been nice, but for all around use I thing the tried in...
That is great!! How do you like the 2005fpw? Any buyers remorse on not getting 2001?
I am so torn. Damn that wife for saying I could get a new monitor!!
