setting up IIS

ahah, i think i got it figured out already. always something dumb. i thought i would write 2 lines of html quick and dirty in notepad for my index, not thinking that it would save as a txt document.

setting up IIS

I'm trying to set up IIS on my win2k pro machine, just for a small website. i dont have a domain yet, but i thought i'd play with it and punch in my own ip address (192.168.1.100 on this side of my router) and make sure it works. well it doesn't. since i am using the lan address my problem...

Brand new DVD from amazon wont read :(

i'm sure you can return that disc. when i pop lock stock and 2 smoking barrels into my pioneer, i get 2 hours of entertainment.

Why does my w2k machine keep crashing

This could be heat as other people mentioned. Sometimes memory chips die slowly and cause similar problems. sometimes it is caused by software, as in my case. here are suggestions i got when my win2k computer kept restarting

Win2k problem, Dumping of physical memory???

I am probably one of the people who's problems came up when you searched. I thought it was ram myself. I was sure of it. But it wasn't. windows 2000 has problems with cd writer. both adaptec versions and roxio versions of it. so that's something you might want to look into first. the link...

why in the heck does my computer keep rebooting itself??

It could DEFINATELY be a software issue. I was having the same problem just a few days ago and it turned out to be some cdwriter software by Roxio that was causing it... something to look into anyway.

One more question for today. I have a Tyan Trinity 400 motherboard in my computer, it's been working well except one thing. On start up it shows that my ram is running at 100 mhz. i have three chips, each of which is pc133, and this board is supposed to support 133. I can't find anything in...
