problem with nero 5.5 under win2k

i have a 24x burner and have nero 5.5 the problem is that it takes me 12 minutes to burn a music cd. my 8x hp can do close to that. i have it set so that nero burns @ 24x but i'm not sure why it is taking so long can some of you guys tell me you have nero 5.5 configured.

Abit RMA, They say I have a bad mobo but I must pay $25?

that is standard procedure for abit the 25 dollar fee is for "shipping" so they say. But yet they only return the board ups ground.

Mardi Gras here i come

since i just found out that i'm going to the big easy for virtually nothing ( if i don't have test for that friday). what are the basics to take with you. i have a video camera it is a sony trv320, have some money, and tapes for the camera. what else will i need for when i go to mardi gras? oh...

i agree with kevin those sony supressa are a p.o.s. i had the 12x supressa and i was only able to burn i good cd out of about 15.
