Xine on Red Hat 7.3

I am running Xine on Red Hat 7.3 (The same version of Xine that came with it) and everytime I attempt to start Xine it just totally freezes the computer. I have to manually turn off the power and turn it back on to restart the computer. Any ideas? My system: AMD Athlon XP 2000+ ASUS A7v333...

Disappointed

CPU temps. seem to be higher with case open. I've got 2 suction type fans on the side of my case. My old P3 system doesn't have a single case fan but still runs at a constant 55-60 degrees C. And it has served me faithfully for 2 and a half years. And as far as the GC68 goes... I live in India...

Oh well, Installed the Volcano 6Cu+ today on my overheating Athlon XP 2000+ and it didn't seem to make any difference at all to my CPU temperatures. It's still in the high 60s. I did notice one thing though. I installed the PC Probe software that came with the Asus board and it reports a high...

Uh, correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems to me that there is only one way to install the AMD heatsink/fan. That retention clip pretty much takes care of that issue. Oh, and I bought the Volcano 6 Cu+. Now all I need is some isopropyl alcohol to clean up the mess left by the thermal paste...

Well, with the case on it seems to stabilise at about 70 degrees Centigrade. I installed Windows XP, reboooted and checked the temperature in the BIOS. It seemed to hover around the 69-70 range. Must be because of the 2 fans that I have on the side of the case which suck air into it. I think...

AGP Pro

I thought I had it all figured out... The ASUS K7v333 has an "AGP Pro" slot. What exactly is AGP Pro? Will my ancient Diamond Stealth s540 Extreme fit on it? I only plan to use it temporarily, till I get a GeForce 3 Ti200 based video card. Advice/information would be greatly appreciated...

Athlon XP 2000+ VS. P4 2.0 GHz

Decided to go for the AMD. Not going to overclock and also not looking for upgradability so I guess the AMD should fit my plans nicely. Probably going to get the Asus board as well.
