Question about using HDTVs for the computer

Well, that's where I'm curious. Imyourzero didn't mention actually turning it off. All he said was "I switched the AVMODE to "USER" and it still adjusts the contrast." I don't think he actually turned OPC off.

I just looked in the manual, located here: http://www.sharebigfile.com/file/127720/LC32-37GP1U-OM-pdf.html On page 27, it shows that you can easily just turn OPC off.

I know a guy.. nah, I'm kidding :P Discounts & Accommodation program at work. I've been reading this thread http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1171795 The guy here didn't mention having any problems with the automatic brightness changing.

Question about using HDTVs for the computer

I'm looking in to buying this TV. Now, I've never owned an HDTV before, so I'm trying to do as much homework as I can. http://www.sharpusa.com/products/ModelLanding/0,1058,1834,00.html I can get it for $750 which is why im pretty interested. Are HDTVs ok for regular computer use...

Computer having weird bootup behavior

I just got my X1950 pro in the mail today, woohoo! Woohoo is right, but of course something has to go wrong. At first it wouldn't boot up at all. I would just get a black screen. I figured I'd let it sit there for a bit and see what happenes. 3-5mins later, it finally starts booting up...

Radeon X1950 Pro

My current card is an X800 XL. Will I see a HUGE difference in performance if I upgraded to this card? I'm curious because I can get this card for $150, so it wouldn't really damage my wallet too much.

Question about channels.

I was having some trouble with my Wii having difficulties trying to connect online. I went to Nintendo's support site, and it said to change the channel to 1 or 11. I change it to 1 and it worked fine after that(channel was originally 6). Can this cause problems my brother's laptop or my...

haha, no :P And It still does it. Must just be a short somewhere. I guess I'll have to live with it, because I don't feel like destroying anything by accident heh.

So last night I turned it off, and it turned back on. I then turned it off again, and it stayed off this time. So I'll see what happens again tonight when I shut it down.
