oK, I am back to the FATAL ERROR problem, after swapping everything around, I got the same error using BOTH my mainboards, I cleaned up my HD completely many times, and it tests out perfect, no errors, I swapped all my cables, I tried it with just my DVD, and with just my CDRW, cleaning...

Uh-oh... that's no good.

looks like my Antec True-Power blew up... I switched out BOTH my mainboard and CPU first, and it worked fine, I then swapped in my Antec PSU and no go... I got my system up and running with the old ECS Mainboard last night, checked out all the other items that were in the case when my issue...

Uh-oh... that's no good.

The PSU I am using is an Antec Tru Power 330w, the old one was a Sparkle 300W. I had been using the ANTEC for about 3 months, with no problem, I didnt cook the PSU due to overloading it, I only had my DVD and HD and Vid card attached. I had it before with a Sound Card, Tv Tuner, CDRW...

see what i get for not reading the post fully... whoops. Hmm... dont know what to tell you, ocworkbench has a huge board devoted to this board, and alot of issues that are associated with it. you may want to check it out.

BIOS problems on K7S5A

Has the CMOS battery been replaced? That should cure the problem, simple, quick and inexpensive. Of course, that may not be the issue, but i would try that first. Bigtim
