AIM Alternatives?

OK I've been using GAIM for about 24 hours and it's awesome. I'm still staying away from trillian because all I use is AIM.

AIM Alternatives?

I'm trying out GAIM now and so far I like it. Is there anyway to set your profile though? The reason I'm staying away from Trillian is that I don't really want the extra resources if all I use is AIM.

Server Migration

Need a 4-pin(floppy drive type) extension, can't seem to find one!

I would suggest just getting some insultaed wire and doing it yourself, but your handle makes me think otherwise.

Fan suggestions for SK7

I ended up with the YS-Tech 80mm adjustable from newegg. I complained to them about the shipping rates ($6 shipping for one, $12 for two) and they gave me free shipping :) CS Rep Caesar is the man. Thanks for your suggestions guys -Bill

By the end of the week im going to be running a 2400+ with an SK7, but I don't know which fan to get for the heatsink. I want something on the quiet side of things but won't let my temps get too high. Any suggestions? -Bill

xp users: how many of you have gone back to win2k?

I went back. Had it not been for a few annoyance with this particular rig I would have kept XP. I do use it on my other computer however.

No task manager in Win XP

Try CTRL+SHIFT+ESC this is the direct shortcut for the task manager in 2k/XP -Bill

constant hard drive activity: Win XP

In task manager under the process list, enable the columns for IO Read and IO Write activity. Then you can monitor in realtime which processes are writing to the disk. -Bill
