Help with W2K Boot Problem!

do you have your scsi bios enabled? can you boot off of any other cd? if you boot with a win98 startup floppy can you access the cd drive? if so you can install it that way

Any catches with NTFS on Win2k

I would/do use ntfs it is so much better just as Windows 2000 is much better than win9x FOR SOME PEOPLE! you mustunderstand what you gain and what you lose.. If you have any questions I would recommend always installing to fat32 if everything works and when you are done tweaking you can...

can you put 95 on an Athlon machine

Can I install WIN ME after WIN2K?

the first partition must be fat or fat32 and when you install winme I think there is a /ntldr switch you should use

Problem Solved

Partition magic also works well, however non microsoft software should only ever be used as a last resort, so I would stick my win2k cd rom into the computer and turn it on, have it boot from the cd and then use the partition manager that comes up to ask you where you want to install win2k...

how do you remove a hidden NIC driver in win2k?

turn off computer remove netcard(s) turn on computer... let boot... sign on (you do remember the admin password?) turn off computer reinstall netcard turn on computer

98/Me dualboot...how to?

Webratt you could always boot from floppies.. but you miss the point I agree that going to Windows 2000 is by far a better choice, but some people do have 9x on their machines and want to install winme to see what it looks like, and not torch (upgrade?)their 9x install in the process.
