Question are video card prices headed down yet?

Perhaps that is one reason TMSC is building a 12 billion $ plant in Arizona? I would think that they also have some sort of plan to destroy/sabotage the Taiwanese plants if the Chinese do somehow invade.

Cool. I still bust out my old copy of Starfleet Command I and II and give it a go on my ancient XP machine I keep around (no, its not hooked up to the Internet before someone complains about it). :)

Question [IgorsLab] Just when you thought GPU prices were headed downward...

I am familiar with it, though I don't find those sort of games enjoyable. I am also familiar with the business model; make armies obsolete every few years so you have to replace them to play competitively, etc. I think I see the point you are trying to make though.

Then I find another hobby, as I am not paying those prices for a new GPU. Video gaming is already a minor hobby; I've got other things to do that a more attractive use of my time.

Fallengod, thanks for the advice. :) I've looked into what gains I'd probably see upgrading the CPU and memory, not enough to matter for the games I'm playing now. Same with the GPU, even if I could find one for a semi-reasonable price. I'm sticking with what I have for a while, and see how...

Yeah right. Everyone will still have to wear a mask and socially distance, so its going to be years before we get even close to the old normal. Of course the powers that be want masking and social distancing to be the new normal forever...

Hmm... thanks for the advice. No, I'm not dead set upon upgrading right now, it was more of a pondering my options for say the next 6 months. The games I'm doing right now aren't taxing the system that hard.
