I share your skepticism, I see a lot more dark clouds as opposed to silver linings in STv2. It sounds like there's a lot of moving parts there in it's development. Company acquisitions often cause philosophical differences between parent and child development teams.
I had quite a few clip-on lamps I was using, many of them have metal shades. I had the hardest time pairing bulbs in these lamps. I realized that the metal shades were a problem, popped the shade off one, pairs right away.

I've had to substitute stand-alone lights to replace the Wink lights that are in the lighting fixtures, so it's a bit more extensive than turning on a switch for me. I do agree that I'll be sticking with Wink until something comes around that is proven better. I'm using Trunzoc's voice control...
Being that I can't use most of my lighting, I'd prefer to defer any updates. I've gotten used to my doors being locked automatically...Guess I'll have to take extra caution to make sure I lock them leaving the house.
