Thanks for that explanation craftech....I can see burning at a faster rate could lead to more errors or perhaps more unreliable discs but I had never thought about media CAPABLE of faster burn speeds BUT still having data burned at a slower rate (4x) being more unreliable.....this will be...

Got my bulk pack yesterday. These may be real Taiyo Yuden and they might not. I guess I am so used to a brand name disc seems strange to have such a generic/bulk/non-descript product

digital voice recorder...download to USB flash drive???

Wanted to get my daughter a DVR to record lectures at college. I was looking at the Olympus W-10 but it only allows for a little over an hour of recording in SP mode (reviewers said LP is inaudible) so IF she had 2 classes back to back could she take a USB pen drive and download the DVR data...

I thought this sale was on till next Saturday 25th so of course I waited till today to pick an extra up for my son...surprise 29.99 guess I should have asked last night when the sale was good till. At least I got one for myself.

Thanks for the post xyknewtry. There were about 20 in our Staples.Mine is working great but the slanted keys or maybe I should say keys at an angle are weird, hope i get used to it. Also and this is going to sound picky but the left click button is smaller at the top of the button so it wont...

external enclosures

He has the Compaq evo n1015V does not have firewire but i did get him a 2.0 usb pcmcia card...he took a couple of internal HD with him. Tonight I picked up a 2.0 Usb Pac Dig burner at Cusa for 49 so that takes care of that...so now it is on to the HD enclosure. Thanks alot guys!
