PC - 2 - PC w/ crossover cable

I have 2 PC's both running Windows XP Pro. I bought a crossover cable today and plugged each end into the ethernet cards. Rebooted both computers and i get a Local Area Connection has limited access. When I look in the network places on either computer, I dont see them. Any assistance...

wow...for the past few years either my ankles or calfs have been cracking when I walk after sitting for a long time. I thought it was just me!! I guess it's pretty common though. :D

A 16 year old and a Hummer H2 do not mix.

They mise well just take the hummer part out of Hummer H2. Those things have to much style to be considered hummers. They are pretty damn sweet.

FTP might be quicker and easier if you dont want to go about setting up the filesharing as this could be a pretty troubleshooting task.

Why does my ATI 8500le suck???

I also run the 8500 LE on a windows 2000 machine. I dont see any bad performance, UNTIL, I come out of a game such as Age Of The Empires 2 :Conquerors. When I come back to the desktop its all glowed up with neons. So everytime I come out of a game I have to go to Appearance/Windows Standard...

Is it possible to access the BIOS without any memory installed?

No, RAM, CPU, and video card are the necessities for boot.

What firewall for my fathers PC (just got broadband)

I actually found Norton 2003 firewall to be much better and easier to work than Zone Alarm. When I used to run Zone Alarm it always f0cked up my ip refreshing and what not. You don't need to disable/enable Norton everytime you browse, you can change the options you know. But if your dad is...

Everything is working fine now on the network. ONE PROBLEM though. Now when I try to access my 2k box from my 98 box I recieve ACCESS DENIED, TRY AGAIN. How do I go about tackling this?

Will a router get rid of pop-up ads?

A router will not block windows/ie ads. And what 22admub said about disabling windows messaging...I am almost positive this does not work as I have tried it. So what do you do? Download Pop-Up Stopper or any other third party software that blocks ads. I highly recommend Pop-Up Stopper, its...

Comp For CD Ripping, Need Upgrade Advice
