Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 and ps2 rate?

Question for those of you using this badass new optical mouse from microsoft. Has anyone successfully gotten a ps2rate of 200 with this mouse in windows 2000? In windows XP, I can set it to 200 using the drivers, but it doesn't want to go above 100 in w2k. I tried manually changing some registry...

AMD XP 1800 + Shuttle AK31 rev3.1 = sigh

Wingman gaming mouse crazyness in Quake 3 Arena

Someone on another messageboard said something about games not supporting directinput flaked out when all 3 mouse buttons were pressed at the same time. Is this true? Does q3 support dinput at all? Any fixes/ways around this?
