Kabini 5350 a good option for basic usage?

I am using a 5350 running Linux Mint as a HTPC using the built-in integrated graphics. It's been great. Sips power, and after you install the AMD Linux drivers, no issues watching HD programming on YouTube or Netflix. Page load times are a little longer compared to my 5820k in Chrome, but hey...

Ok last one ;) I don't know if you know anything about ARK: Survival, but it's a cool dinosaur-themed game that is not done yet, and it kills all video cards as it's currently un-optimized and uses lots of cool features\textures ;). Knowing that, I still went 1080p and turned EVERYTHING up...

This is actually really fun lol. Ok I just did Alien Isolation, here are my #'s: I'm just going to copy them straight from the FRAPS CSV file, it's faster, then upload a screenshot of where I was at the time of the benchmark: Frames Time (ms) Min Max Avg 3308 16765 181 204 197.316

Just to see, I downloaded FRAPS and ran it on Skyrim Ultra at 1080p. I am using an EVGA SSC 970 GTX. Here are my results from the CSV file: MAX FPS: 143 MIN FPS: 87 AVG FPS: 118.566 Can you benchmark Heaven at 1080p extreme and compare it with mine?

I NEED HELP! GTX 980 vs R9 390X

Well said. Any of these cards: 290x/390/390x/970/980/980ti will hold you for a while. $300-$350 seems to be the sweet spot. And some brick and mortar stores will price match online stores, so you don't have to wait, or worry about something happening in the mail, and if something goes wrong...

Gigabyte Gtx 970 G1 or AMD R9 390?

I went through a similar decision. I first picked up the last new 290x at Fry's by my house thanks to their price-matching policy with NewEgg. It was an XFX Double Dissipation edition. It was working fine until about 2 weeks ago, coincidentally when new drivers came out, along with a Windows...
