how do u remove anti-glare off a computer monitor?

Here's someone who used automotive cutting compound. I'll be trying this as soon as I can find some. May I take your coat(ing)?

Try setting your DPI, under Display Properties-Settings-Advanced, to Normal Size (96 DPI).

How much thermal paste, and does it matter?

Hey Neutralizer, just a word of caution. You wouldn't want to use anything metal on the heatsink because the metal would create scratches which would lessen the effectiveness of the heatsink. If you do use metal, you'll have to do some lapping to get rid of the scratches.

Albatron, or Asus?

Actually GD, the Abit IS7 is the top in price/performance right now. About the network connection, even a 10Mbs ethernet could handle our fastest internet connections so forget about it as a criterion.

If you check your mobo documentation, you'll see the headers that you should use. There are called Front USB in my info.

Albatron PX845PE and temp monitor?

GraveLayer That's very strange that you can't have two drives connected to the IDE RAID port. I have never used RAID before but wouldn't the right cable (with connectors) allow you to connect the two drives to the port? What would be the point of having the RAID port if you can only connect one...

The EPoX 4G4A+ seems very promising.

Acer: That one little metal bar is enough to keep your fan completely suspended? Wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see it. Pretty cool. :cool:

lupohki: An earlier poster (Vsekh 06/23/2002 8:13PM) said that the 4G4a does have the NIC. It's only covered by the faceplate. Remove that and enable it in the Bios and you are good to go.
