Lan not working properly

Well the setup of the hardware and cableing is flawless heh... but it is still only on one computer.. do i need to configure a network to split the internet.. or dosnt the router do that already....?

Lan not working properly

Alright i am wireing my house for a Local area network it is all wired up adn ready to go but i can only get internet on one of the computers at a time. "i have cable internet". my setup is modem to router and then to 3 computers please let me know what you think.

slow cpu?

First off I am running a AMD 4000+ 2.4ghz and a lot of the time while my system is just sitting on the desktop I get spikes of cpu usage that I can see in the task manager these spikes make it so I have to wait for minuets just to do simple tasks.. Please help
