Best bios for an asus a7v133

Help!!! with Epson 1270 photo printer..

Zalman coolers? anyone tried them?

I have been using a Zalman cnps 5000 plus for the last week and am very, very impressed ! My goal is low noise and a modest overclock. With the medium speed fan setting I had CPU temps of 40/45C idle/load, total stability and the fan was barely audible with the case closed. This is with CPU...

Asus V7700 deluxe, cannot get video-in to work. Tried everything.

Prepare to be stumped!!

There as so many possibilites but I had an near identical problem a couple of years ago building a K6 2 system. It turned out that the CPU itself was bad and when replaced all was ok. Do you have access to another CPU to try ?(may have to call in a favour !) Good Luck.

Zmni, Try searching the AMD forum for discussions on your motherboard: http://www.amdzone.com/forum/categories.cfm?catid=13 I'd suggest a K62+ or better still k63+ which will overclock to 550 or 600 Mhz. These are the "last chance" to get a performance gain out of a SS7 motherboard...

ASUS 6800dlx drivers?

If you don't mind trying Beta, go to : ftp://ftp.asuscom.de/pub/ASUSCOM/TREIBER/VGA/V6800/ for Beta drivers based on 631 ref drivers. They include video capture etc. Good luck

need suggestion on sound card with onboard digital output

Take a look at the Terratec DMX X-Fire 1024. Sounds great, has a3d, ds3d, eax etc, optical out and "professional grade" construction. Affordable too, similar to cheep soundblaster live.

V6800 Deceased?

Have you tried booting into safe mode (F8) ? If you can run safe mode then I'd be suspecting driver, IRQ issues etc. I've seen similar problems when my ide driver has caused a conflict with other PCI devices. Good luck

K6-3+ memory problems

K6 3+ (or 2+) does not operate correctly with older bios's. There are some "tricks" to getting them to run a full performance. There is a hidden community of mad socket 7 users that live at: http://www.amdzone.com/forum/categories.cfm?catid=13. Look throught the last couple of months...
