Help with CPU Temp Please (Opteron 170)

Erm so re-installing Windows might help? That seems a little strange. Any reason for that? Would I really damage anything running at 60C for awhile? I mean I can't imagine too many things stress one core to the max let alone both (for what I do anyway.) Any more reccomendations?

Help with CPU Temp Please (Opteron 170)

How accurate is SPEEDFAN? I just downloaded that and am testing it, and that reports TEMP1 (Processor) running @ 49C... now is that the actual temp of the processor according to fanspeed, or is that just what the fan itself is detecting as the heat? Everest still shows at 59C.... so theres a 10C...

Thanks... Yea I can let it cool overnight. The thing is I'm not sure if the sensors could be right, I mean it's got a pretty quality HSF with Heatpipes, and 1.375V isnt really above stock hardly at -all- if any. And for it to run 60C? Granted thats only with both at Torture Test levels... If...

Purchasing tommorow, Need Help !

Well my GPU should be damn fine for awhile, at least I would hope >_< Today at work I'll do some research on the options if I get a choice. Before I do anything though, I just want to make sure, the Opterons basically just ARE X2 Chips, but ones that tested higher testing, correct? I still can't...

Yea, unfortunatley I allready sold the 3700+. For the price of a 4400+ I could get a 3800+ and a 74GB Raptor HDD... if that would be worth it, not sure. Could still use some advice on this, also, one other question, if anyone knows, with the new 6.3 Catalyst Drivers, using a ASUS 3600 Vento Case...

Bah this is really becoming a multi-way fight. It seems that the A64 4000+, and the A64 X2 3800+ are now in the mix as well. Been trying to read up and see many conflicting reports on wether the 3800+ or 4400+ are the better all around chip... money isnt a HUGE issue as long as I stay with a max...

Yea.... a Powercolor isn't bad from what I have heard, and it has good reviews... Plus I mean $439.99 for a RETAIL VERSION? That's pretty sick.... I wanted a 1900XTX originally but not sure if there's a point in spending a extra $60, plus going to OEM from Retail, for 25MHZ on the core and...
