Ok here's another question. Who has wired their computer speakers in the walls of their house? Do most of these systems use standard speaker wire so one can do this? Ok, so this is weird, but it would solve my wiring + toddler problem. :P - bones

Hi, CD-RW discs are written with a different technology than CD-ROM or CD-R discs (phase shift technology if I remember right). Some of the newer CD-ROM drives are "multi-read" which means they can read both type of discs. The older CD-ROM drives, however, can't read the CD-RW discs...
