160 degrees is fine in my opinion. You get used to it fast. But yeah... you will have to sit directly in front (+/- 20 degrees) of it or the image quality will suck. It's really not that big of a deal unless more than 1 person needs to see the screen at the same time.
Of those options it seems that the Samsung is the only one capable of displaying 8-bit color (16.7 million colors). Which means the Samsung is the only one where the colors won't look like crap.
I have the exact same problem with my AX8 running bios 1.3. I don't notice it as much since I only reboot a few times a month. I'm convinced the AX8 is just a crap motherboard and this will be the last time I buy a board from Abit. My advice is... don't reboot.
I have this monitor. It's good for gaming and has good color. My main complaint is that the viewing angle 150°(H) is smaller than other monitors so you need to sit right in front of it to get a good picture. Minor complaints are that the speakers are useless and the buttons are difficult to...
I love Lian Li cases. I have the V-1000. It's divided into 3 thermal compartments so lack of internal air pressure due to the thousands of tiny holes is not a problem. There is a 120mm exaust fan right next to the CPU so temps stay cool. Hard drives have their own compartment with a 120mm fan...
I own the Samsung 214T 21.3". It's the best looking 4:3 LCD I have ever seen. No screendoor and with the 900:1 contrast ratio blacks actually look like black. I hoping to see some online reviews soon.
It passed my World of Warcraft spinning gnome test for ghosting. I.e. Create a lvl 1...
X2 is the way of the future but I still went with single core for now. In the future I probably will go dual core since I use dual processor systems at work.
Player A buys an X2 but Player B decides to go single core venice and use the money saved to buy a Dell 2405FPW. They both get above...
I won't touch a mouse that doesn't have at least 2 side buttons. And no, horizontal scrolling doesn't make up for this unless you have 8 inch long thumbs. MX1000 is still king of the hill for gaming.
Instead of using "Large Fonts" in Windows you can try increasing the font size in text applications that you use. For example you can increase the font size in IE and Firefox. You can increase the zoom in Office applications like MS Office. It's what I did when I had my 19" mostly because...
It will take a few days for your eyes to adjust. I experienced the same thing when I got my L90D+ after using a CRT. After a few days I didn't notice it and after a few weeks I was unable to use my CRT anymore. The LCD picture just looked much better to me. Cleartype is a must with LCDs...
Does anyone have any experience with this monitor?
NEC Display Solutions LCD2170NX 21.3" 8ms LCD Monitor
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824002118
I haven't been able to find any reviews. Most monitors this size have response times above 16ms. I am trying to...
HMSRevenant, after reading those reviews on Newegg I would stay away from the L90D+. I've had my L90D+ for 4 months now and have no problems with it. But it seems something went wrong at Hyundai quality control. I hope I never have to deal with Hyundai support.
If I had to choose from...
If you do a lot of video encoding I would say that dual core is a must. Otherwise it is completely optional (and unnecessary) at this time no matter what the hardware junkies on this forum will tell you.
Why use a 19" LCD instead of a 17" LCD? Because 19" LCDs are bigger.
I think native Windows fonts look tiny on a 17" LCD and the difference in screen size between 17" and 19" is very noticeable. The idea that 19" LCDs look "pixelated and blurry" is false. When I compare my 19" L90D+ to...
