Has Halo been surpassed as the "cool" shooter with kids?

That's a giant reach there. I love the COD series mainly for the multiplayer. As one of the older gamers amongst my XBL friends (I'm 38) I don't like to stare at guns. It's a great game for a party of guys/girls to enjoy especially when you work as a team. The single player is a bonus for me...

Next Call of Duty details emerge. *UPDATE 5/13*

I'll give it a try. I still enjoy Black Ops, especially the smaller maps for the run and gun style. I'll also try out BF3 since years ago i loved BF2 on the pc. So far, the newest map back is enjoyable. After more than a decade of FPS I still enjoy them so we'll see what the next batch brings.

No, I don't level slow, just work on several perks. I'm on 7th prestige. The 26miles is usually the last thing to get in Marathon Pro as the 15 caps and 10 first kills come during CTF runs.

I usually have SoH and/or Marathon Pro right around the 20 mark. I jumps straight into CTF for Marathon to get the awful 15 flag caps and go from there straight into Domination. I'd say usually between levels 20-24 is when i reach the pro mark for those two...and not much, if any more for Hardline.

I loved Shipment for Domination on COD4. I know many didn't, but thought it was a great chaotic, hilarious and point rewarding map.

Don't blame you at all. If not for my daughter loving the games on the 360, I'd have the PS3! I can't really justify having both. I can understand your frustration and know that I'd feel the same way.

I haven't noticed any dropped games or system lock ups. I wish I could remember which map seemed to stutter in heavy action in MP but thats the only problem i've noticed performance wise. Hate to hear the problems on the PS3 version.

I'm more addicted to this game than to MW2. Unlike MW2 or COD4 I love playing a rush-style attack (I play mainly Domination). I run the 3-4-5 killstreaks with Hardline Pro so i keep spy planes up a good bit of the game and love the counter spy plane to make up for lack of ghost. I prefer napalm...

that's what I thought about CTF until I tried it. All it takes is patience and finding a good game. My second time getting Marathon Pro was much quicker than the first. It took me a couple of games where the other team was brainless. Picked up a couple right at the flag base to make it easier...

I really like the patch so far. Finding and getting into a game is much much easier. Also, the Nuketown loop is gone. I believe you can only play same map twice. Can't really tell about the footsteps though since I don't run Ninja or Ninja Pro

I finally found my "sweet spot" with a setup: Lightweight Pro Steady Aim Pro Marathon Pro AK-74u w/silencer Ballistic Knife Semtex, nova and claymore I prefer to rush playing Domination and love the setup. The AK smg is very nice especially on the medium to smaller maps.
