Called local OM and asked if I print out and bring in the online coupon. They said no problem. Get the rep's name and then go in and get the camera and CF.
Thanks for the deal!
There are so many different theories of human nature. That, we can all agree.
The correct (universal) theory is .... That we can all agree to disagree.
The odds are not good. For a pretested cpu, just post a WTB thread in the For Sale/Trade forum. Or just send a private message to compuwiz1 or bonkers325. They will take good care of you.
Its nice to see that Asus has added some jumpers to address cold boot. These are missing on the CUSL2. Never been a problem for me, but a real pain in the behind for some others.
I've heard of similar stories with the CUBX. I ran a 633@950 and a 533a@800 on my CUSL2 with the original final bios (1001). Each cpu booted right off, no messing around.
Hey - We need more suggestions here!
What bios revision are you running? I don't like advising people to flash their bios because of the possibility of a bad flash. But, I have heard of cases where people were having trouble running celerons on Asus motherboards, and a bios flash helped them.
miniMunch - Your heat transfer description is exactly what I mean by the orb was not designed with heat transfer in mind. The fins are to far away from the heat source. That, coupled with the low fin surface area, results in poor heat removal. Having said that, I own one too.:o
Well then, on a warm boot, you should be looking at windows at 1.75. Try reseating the cpu and HSF. I'll let some other people take a stab at this.
edit: Did you reload windows after you changed motherboards?
