Installed new beta driver but same problem ... seems like its systen lag because it even occours while cinematic ingame clip in far cry 4 or ACU

The main reasons for inflated VRAM requirements

i can play Middle-earth Shadow of Mordor with 7950 3 GB on ultra ... with ultra textures yes ... it's just me or ? average FPS 50 and 1080p ofc

i3 3210 + R9 280x= bottleneck?

+1 also even BF3 needs 6+ GB ram for ultra settings

How much GPU memory usage do people have when not gaming?

have 7950 with same Vram .... now watching a movie and have some taps open in chrome .... uses about 400 mb or less ... idk ,if it's normal cause you get 1Gb or more after browsing ... maybe virus or some processes consume a lot of VRM .... idk strange really

From 7950 to GTX 970 ? Time to upgrade ?

i can even take 980 or two , but that will be overkill for my resolution and useless .... in 2015 we won't see new cards and only worried me ... hold for 2 years ? well...

From 7950 to GTX 970 ? Time to upgrade ?

I play on TV with 1080p and will keep it for yeas for sure ... at least 5-6 Years ... only thing i maybe try it's nvidias 4k on 1080p screens ... but for 4k 970 won't be enough ... need 2 or 3 of them....

+1 With full money back ! but imho 980 does not worth 220$ over 970 ... better get with single 970 or even dual 970s

lets see ... if you sell your 780 and get 980 with same price that will be awesome ... even if you get 970 that will be good .... you will get 97% performance for a lot less power and will save money in the future... about your question .. OCed 780 TI maybe beat 980 stock on some games but with...
