I actually managed to get an OS installed without needing to get in the BIOS, so from there I ran a killcmos crack and it worked. I felt stupid when my brother showed me what I was doing wrong.
Oh well .. learn somthing new everyday.
BTW ... inside the case, we couldn't find any CMOS battery...
How do i get to the CP when booting up the laptop? I have PHOENIX BIOS on a off-brand laptop.
Accessing BIOS and using an OS is out of the question ... I ned to access a program on the floppy before any of this can be done.

Well crap. I was reading on another site that deleteing some "SAM" file, I already forgot the name would erase the administrator password. I'd have to do it through DOS, but I don't think i want to go through that much trouble.
