been there done that. its pretty simple, but depending on your array size, it could take quite a while. conversions can only take place via the nvidia control panel if things havent changed. only basic stuff can be done through the nvidia raid bios.

i have a 4650 in my HTPC (also a low profile type) and it does alright with image quality settings turned down at 1920x1080 resolution. right now its not paired up with the best processor (athlon x2 be-2400) but it was playable at least in L4D, at native resolution.

what about the fact that ati went through the rounds of submitting their driver package for WHQL testing/certification? it has to count for something, at least along the lines that ati is striving for certification of their driver rather than leaving it not certified.

I tried doing this in windows vista x64 with my 8800gtx, because the 2nd DVI port wasnt working correctly...
it wouldnt work at all, the ati driver wouldnt load because the nvidia driver was loaded first and whatnot... i honestly could never get it to work.
i was able to get the 8800gtx...
i pulled the trigger too - i have 4x1gb of DDR2-800 (OCZ reaper 6400 4-4-4-15 stuff that runs DDR2-900 at about 2.15v) but since im partially interested in utilizing my new asus rampage tRD stuff this works out better since its 2 sticks instead of 4.

so i think the fed needs to let college students buy a $99 checking account that lets us perpetually evaluate spending in different markets, like local/online/B2B so we can get that down too... we are only limited to 10 accounts though, so its not like they are losing out completely, hah...
