Forcing Icon View via desktop.ini

I already have a custom desktop.ini file in a folder, and it correctly sets the background of that folder to be a tiled bmp. I also want the folder to open up in icon view. Is there line I can insert for this? Thanks

How to install terminal server access to WinXP home edition?

are you talking about bigfix or something similar? I would really like to add it without purchasing a win xp pro license and upgrade disk for this machine

Solution is to ctrl-alt-del and log off then log back in , often the next attempt goes in just fine, but sometimes it takes more than one try. Also end task explorer.exe and start it again also pushes thru to the desktop. Machine has no spyware on it, no virus, msconfig used to clean startup...

How to install terminal server access to WinXP home edition?

Thanks for any help with this. I think it is possible but i don't know how. I'd basicaly like to use Remote Desktop Client (or mstsc) to access a winxp home machine.

Clarification. HKEY_USERS>.DEFAULT>CONTROL PANEL>KEYBOARD. Initial keyboard indicators needs to be set to 2 0 = nothing 1 = caps lock ON 2 = num lock ON 3 = CAPS AND NUM

regedit>HKEY USER>.default>control panel>keyboard> there is a setting in here that needs to be set to 2. This solved the problem.

I need numlock to be on BEFORE log in, during novell login, i want to have numblock on, i have the reg hack you mentioned but it doesnt effect the before login part. Thanks

Icon view sticking to specific folders after joining domain

Everything works as intended before I join the pc to the domain. I have 2 folders on the desktop that I want to open in Icon view. The rest of the machine should be in list view for default folder view. this works fine. New user logs into the machine, everything is fine. Later , I join the pc...
