This whole thread is ridiculous. Based on the 7 million reviews out there for the 7700k and Ryzen we all know exactly where these CPU stand. Why are we trying to draw conclusions based on the test bed RTG used to benchmark their GPU.
It's not some revelation that the 7700K is faster in gaming...
We're talking about at worst semi-enthusiast PC gamers who are at least able oto putting a rig together. The capability to look up a review or spec sheet is a given. The majority of the people in the market for a Gsync or Freesync display aren't the mainstream consumer.
Don't forget frame doubling. Having a super low minimum refresh is basically moot with frame doubling. You still get the benefits of Freesync down to 20fps.
I was hyped for the Pixel XL but if these leaks are correct that is like a worst case scenario. It looks like a chinese iphone clone. And they had to downgrade the screen to 5.5" to make sure they did as little as possible to differentiate it.
Remedy has a long history of making high-end graphics engines but they just can't figure out that damned DX12. Seriously, what do you people think DX12 is? I don't know much about graphics apis but I feel like 90% of the people who talk about them know even less.
Weird. I never said anything about the power consumption of GDDR5. But I guess you just need to deflect away from your original poorly thought out argument.
You're still off. All your doing is comparing 8gbit GDDR5 to 4gbit GDDR5. This has nothing to do with the overall power consumption of GDDR5. It's the same number of chips....
