I must say I'm amazed at the speed difference between my Gaming PC which has a I5 11600K which has a Hyper 212 Cooler and my HP Pavilion 12400. Must be cores. I got the Core Temp app and was watching the temps while the 12400 is using Handbrake. It runs right up to about 80C and then backs down...
I just picked up a second hand with an I5 12400 and am mostly using it with Handbrake. Its running across the cores around 70-75C with occasional peaks around 80-83. I'm just going to use this all day long, so my question is should I put a different cooler on it for lower temps, and If I do what...
Could someone suggest a USB Type A drive for video transfers? I've heard some aren't very constant and vary as far as read and write speeds. I realize Type A aren't the fastest, but thats what I have to work with. I'm using Sandisk Cruzer Glides right now, but they aren't the best I'm sure. Thanks
Sorry for the long absence, had some issues down in Florida from the last storm to take care of combined with Christmas, was a bit of a struggle. But got the new 4070 Super and Dell G2724D installed. Man its like watching a movie in the first 10 rows. I ran a benchmark in Assetto Corsa in the...
I just want a stable driver, thats all. As far as that Cooler Master cable, do I need to plug in all three PCIe 8 pin connectors or just two ? I take it they get plugged into the PSU under PCIe and 4+4 CPU labeled area?
Thats just me. I'm taking this all in, otherwise I wouldn't have asked. I like the idea of eliminating that adapter, great idea, and I saw in the comments someone had used it with the same power supply I have. I'm getting that Cooler Master cable.
As far as the GPU driver though some have...
Can you just tell me If that corsair cable will work ? Its PN SKU: CP-8920243. Thats all I want to know. Then I'll use the new one for the connection to the motherboard and the older ones to the new GPU.
Since the motherboard connection isn't really needed, it shouldn't be a big deal anyways...
So that one on Amazon for $29 should work then, and it is an original corsair cable so I should have zero compatibility issues correct? I'll just order it
I took the PC case apart and found out what the other cable I need was used for. Something on the Z590 motherboard called PCIe power. I have a picture took of it which the cable is plugged into. You may have to scroll down a bit. Excuse the dust, its cleaner now after a little housekeeping, and...
Are both of those choices OK to use though? there both Corsair brand, I didn't realize they cost that much.
BTW since you have helped me so much, Which driver version should I use out of these thats most stable?

I can't wait to try it, but I don't...
Or this one at Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/CORSAIR-Premium-Individually-Sleeved-Connector/dp/B07L68YVC5?th=1
It also said they have inline capacitors, is that a good thing ?
BTW is this the cable too at Corsair:

This is the cable I do have. I think its a type 4 too whatever that means. BTW what can't I just use an 8 pin to 8 pin cable, doesn't Corsair make those ?
