Garak is right. Not only does the 1030 look good, it is really, really functional and solid. The four fan slots w/ two equipped don't hurt none either.
Plow,
Are you setting up the hard drive in bios for auto detect or are you keying in the cylinder info? If you have been using the auto mode, try loading the info from the hard drive specs (on the drive)and see if it sees it correctly.
I'm interested in the post about the bios. I agree with the web site being a little confusing. What's with that? They have a new bios and then tell you not to load it. But no real reason why. Is it just a bad translation? If they're posting a new bios, why not load it?
Ken20,
You will get better performance with a DDR motherboard using the 266mhz FSB T-bird. As Darkmajiq said, though, there is a cost difference. There are several good articles in Anandtech's reviews about the DDR mainboards vs. the KT133a mb's. That information is a lot easier to digest...
I don't really think we're any more extinct than others. I'd say the Pro-2a's are pretty stable and I like mine. Not extremely overclocked and still experimenting. It's an 800 t-bird at 918 (9.0 x 102) but it's rock stable. I've tried 9.5 at 102 - won't post. But haven't adjusted anymore...
I also have the MSI Pro-2A. I also had no overclocking past 9.0 until I went to far on the FSB and it alarmed with no boot. So I cleared CMOS and WOW! I had overclock capabilities to 12.5. Have you cleared CMOS yet?
What I think you are asking, Qzruh, is does your particular 133mhz memory run at 133mhz or is it limited by the Via KT133 chipset. Anandtech has tested many KT133 chipset boards and found that about the best the KT133 can do on a FSB is about 110mhz. You don't say what board you have - they...
I got the Antec 1030b also - it looks cool in the pics. Should be here in a few days. What got me was the 300 watt PS and storage for extra HD's. Got a SCSI card I wanna try to use with a couple of scsi drives.
most expensive supercar?

But would you drive it down to the 7-11 for a six pack? Would you ever park it in a lot? Drive it to work...
Dick won't have to quit - the job's gonna kill him. How many plugs has he had to remove since the campaign and election? Two or three? He's just waitin for the big one. Seriously though, Colin Powell will surprise us, I think, and will do an outstanding job. And I'm not a republican.
