How to get Windows 7 Ultimate x64 recognize 2nd processor on Dell Precision T5500

Yes, I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1. I got it figured out and unchecked the max number of processor in msconfig. As soon as I unchecked that option, now it shows 16 cores. :p

Today I just installed the 2nd CPU riser into my Dell precision T5500 work station. Everything went smoothly and I was able to see 16 processor within device manager. Now when I open task manager in windows 7 ultimate x64, I only see 8 out of the 16 cores. I have the latest BIOS from dell and...

Last Draw for Core 2

You can probably overclock that CPU to 4ghz using 400x10 along with adding 4GB more RAM. My office PC is x5460 o/c to 3945mhz, 8gb ddr2 800 ram, 768mb gtx460 o/c 900/4000 and it does light gaming fairly well.

NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1070 Thread

I got my 1070 strix yesterday in the mail, installed it to my system and now testing at 2100mhz core, 9250mhz memory. Heaven 4.0 score is 2641, which is roughly 36% faster than my 980 strix 1525/7800. :biggrin:

I found it on jet.com on 7/12/16 3:30PM PST, was the Asus Strix 1070 on sale for $420.14, minus the -30 promo code first time buyer from jet.com, resulting $390.14 shipped. Fedex shows I will get the package next Monday and I was hoping to get it this Friday.

Get a GTX 980 now or wait for AIB 1060/RX 480's?

I'm glad I sold my 980 for $318 one month ago, now waiting for a $379 1070 for a month already. :mad: I personally would go for a R9 480 if you can find one in stock instead of waiting for a $249 1060.

Is the original Titan still good enough for 1680*1050?

You can always try to RMA your R9 390 to get a replacement.
