religious faith isn't something admirable as it is a trust in doctrine base on spiritual "feelings" rather than proof regular faith, e.g. I have faith that my friends/family will be there for me, that's actually based on previous experiences I don't have any faith in things that there...

try the audio books; the books can be tedious to keep track of the sheer onslaught of characters, but Roy Dotrice's ability to differentiate character voices is impeccable and really helps to better keep track of who is who and what is going on
