I want a 9500 pro vs 9600 pro; would either run doom 3 well without OC'ing? Can anyone comment on the noise from either card? Any other suggestions?

Barton 2500 vs P4 2.53: which is better?

Thanks, fellas. If I go with the P4, which mobo would you recommend? I'm thinking of one based on Sis' 655 chipset, but is this "stable" enough?

I want to build a system (Nforce2 vs Sis 655) for gaming, video editing; I will NOT be overclocking. I want the system to be quiet and reliable, and STABLE!

Then perhaps replacing the 2 HSF's with the Zalman chipset heatsink (and maybe a Panaflo L1A) might do the trick?

OK, wise guy --- what's wrong with the 5500? I know it's old and slow, but it's primarily used for cruising the Net. I was just wondering if one can get by using the Zalman chipset heat sinks ( and maybe a low flow fan such as the L1A's) to cool this "bad boy" down :)
