Page 3 for my store Burbank (LA area) has nothing about a $150 rebate and has the 2102 in the ad. But the Staples ad for Muncie, Indiana (for example) has the heading that says "Save $150 on desktop or notebook PCs after mail-in rebate" and has HP laptops in the ad.
Keep looking on the Staples...
For the record, that's a screen capture of a program recorded off an ABC affiliate using a WinTV-D and a UHF antenna. And digital cable? Bleah, never touch the stuff myself.
True. However you can record HDTV with it if you get the confusing drivers set up properly. Then you can play the huge resulting MPEG stream back with an MPEG player (I used the Elecard player). Didn't work that well but it was fun. Here's an example of the quality you can get from an...
<< Pot. Kettle. Black. >>
Thanks for pointing that out, Mr. Kettle. Can we leave this phrase on Slashdot, please?!
Shenmue is pretty fun but slow and a huge timesink. The main character also seems to answer every other line with "I see..."
Was at the Burbank store at midnight tonight (last customer) picking up a PS2 game and noticed they had like two dozen PS2 systems out on the floor. They open at 10 AM today. Attack!
Helpful tip, BTW, don't be too eager like I was to swipe your Blue card before they take off the 30%, it...
Just got my PS2 at the Hollywood store on Sunset. :D They had 20-25 PS2 systems on the floor in front of the upstairs cashier as of 9:00 this evening and they also just got in Pikmin, Extreme-G 3 and Super Smash Brothers Melee for the GameCube today!
Looks like the PS2s last for a day or less. I went to the Hollywood store last night and the Burbank store on Wednesday and there weren't any left at all. Guess I have to check the thread for updates more often, I want mine.
Stopped by the Hollywood (Sunset) store at 10:30 AM today and they had 30 PS2 systems and apparently still no limit on how many can be purchased. Go get 'em!
I wasn't looking for PS2s, I was looking for GameCube games. They still have no Nintendo accessories, Waverace or Super Monkey Ball...
It appears the only limit to the PS2s you can buy are the $5000 limit on purchases and how many you can carry outta there! I got to the Hollywood store on Sunset just when some guys were maximizing their savings by carting off the last 8, yes eight, systems!
The guys behind the...
I was driving back home when I heard a radio ad for this deal here in LA. I was listening for them to say "electronics," but instead they said "even game systems and CD players!" Wow. They know what they doing! So I guess AmEx is picking up a lot of the bill for this promotion -- Virgin's...
