Something is failing and causing my CPU to run at 100%

This is weird... I'm having the same problem (nVidia drivers 94.24). I'll have an app (usually Firefox) randomly hang, then CPU utilization on one core shoots up to 100%, which is always Explorer.exe. Killing explorer and restarting it doesn't help because it goes right back to 100%. Logging off...

Back from the dead: Kitchenaid 500W Blender $40 shipped

I bought one of these the last time they were on sale. It's a fantastic blender! The only complaint I have (aside from the short warranty period due to it being a refurb) is that the all-glass mixing jar (yes, quality glass!) is a bit heavy when you're washing it by hand.

Have some free time? Build a Conroe rig for $1,400

I'd upgrade to the Seagate 7200.10 320GB model for ~$15 more, it's almost as fast as my Raptor X, and you get more space to boot. I'd also do the Corsair XMS C6400 kit, which is $204 AR at the negg. It's just me, I hate dealing with flaky ram. A little bit extra money can be shaved off by...

e6400 running exceptionally hot

Mine was running warm also until I realized the motherboard wasn't spinning the fan up to full speed (it was set to the 'quiet' mode). If the fan isn't up on high already, there may be a lot left there, my temps drop nearly 15C between low and high speeds.

Outlook express--how do i enable downloading of any file?

Sounds like someone installed MSIE 6 Service Pack 1... Go to the outlook express menu, 'Tools', then select 'Options', then select the 'Security' tab. Uncheck the box that says 'Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus'. Now you can open the email...
